You’re Screwing Up Your Relationship the Same Way You’re Screwing Up Your Business—And You Don’t Even Know It

Have you ever noticed a strange pattern…

your relationship is draining,

and your business feels stuck?

What if I told you it’s the same reason for both?

Here’s how it shows up:

1️⃣ Submissive at home / overgiving in business

You bend over backward to please your partner. You give too much to your clients

offering free sessions, saying yes when you should say no.

Your body feels it:

  • That heavy pit in your stomach, bloated from holding back your needs.
  • Tightness across your chest, shallow breaths that make you anxious.
  • Constipation from the stress of swallowing your boundaries day after day.
  • Back aches from carrying everyone else’s weight while ignoring your own.
  • Restless nights where alcohol, scrolling, or numbing behaviors barely take the edge off.

Outcome: You get taken for granted in both areas, feeling exhausted, unappreciated, and emotionally drained.

2️⃣ Controlling at home / aggressive at work

You push your knowledge on clients, insist everything goes your way. You correct, dominate, and micromanage.

Your body feels it:

  • Migraine pounding behind your eyes, jaw tight from clenching, neck stiff from constant tension.
  • Gut knotting every time someone disagrees or resists your control.
  • Back aches from holding the world rigidly in place.
  • Constipation from tension that never releases, as if your body is stuck in your need to control everything.

Outcome: You push people away, burn bridges, and repel intimacy, leaving you frustrated, isolated, and lonely.

💥The Inner Conflict You Can’t Ignore

Here’s the part most people miss: there’s an inner conflict between your relationship and your business.

  • Submissive at HOME → controlling at work: your business becomes the outlet for power, value, and control.
  • Submissive at WORK → overcompensate at home: you dominate your partner to feel important.

Your body reacts to this imbalance:

insomnia, tension, stomach tightness, back aches, migraines, constipation, restless nights, and the urge to numb it all with food, alcohol, or scrolling.

Your patterns are consistent because they’re rooted in how you manage your value, control, and self-worth. Until you become aware of it, both your relationship and business will mirror the same imbalance.

Ask yourself:

Where are you overcompensating? Where are you bending, pleasing, or controlling to feel worthy?

Notice the physical sensations

your tight chest,

stiff back,

bloated stomach, or tension-filled jaw

they are your internal GPS, pointing straight at the pattern you need to break.

Awareness is the first step to liberation.

With loving kindness,

❤️
