The big C word - my thoughts on this

From my professional experience working with cancer patients, I’ve seen again and again that cancer often has deep emotional roots. It’s not something we “catch” like a cold. When the immune system is strong it naturally corrects and repairs cells. But when inner conflict and emotional worry weaken us, the body can lose its ability to restore balance.

Many people have come to me as a very last resort—after trying every medical treatment available. What I witnessed was that a lack of self-love, or even the belief that they didn’t truly want to live, often influenced the outcome. This is why it’s so important that each of us has a happiness effect in our lives—a big enough “why” to get up each morning. Without meaning or joy, we can slip into simply waiting for life to pass by.

I encourage you to feel into what kind of medical care feels right for you. Today’s medical world often operates as an industry of prescriptions, so it’s vital to use both common sense and intuition in choosing your path. Everyone has access to the simple foundations of prevention: preparing nourishing food (ideally organic), moving the body with joy, practicing meditation, creating peace within, and living with purpose.

When these practices are in place, very often the body already begins to heal—and, even more importantly, this lifestyle becomes the most powerful form of prevention.

With warmth,

Dr. Zsu 🌸
