It was only one drink...

 That ONE GLASS …

The summer is here. Scorching heat that is due to climate change- global warming affecting the weather worldwide. We are boiling up in our sweat and thirst seems unquenchable. Imagine those who need to deal with the heat working outside and doing physical activity; running and playing sports games. They feel overheated and exhausted and can’t wait to get a hold of a cold drink. „Give me anything cold, right now!”

Besides all the fancy-colored bottles of fashion drinks, most people go for the traditional cold beer or wine spritzer. Saying: „It’s ok, I will sweat it out! That one glass counts for nothing! I won't get drunk! It won't alter my consciousness! I will drink it because it feels good and I like it! I will drink it as this way my leg won’t cramp up, so it’s good for me.” These are the common justification we make to ourselves and others for that one drink. However, we know exactly what is the truth.

I will be a party poop with this writing, but I take this proudly.

And I apologize to anyone who this may upset. However, anyone who finds the gemstones here will know how to use them.

This particular subject has been growing me. I was led to write it now because of the repeated stories in the life of those who I work with and one particular one pretty close to me.

HOW EXACTLY ALCOHOL ALTERS YOUR AWARENESS AND CONSCIOUSNESS?

Alcohol makes the first alteration in your consciousness the moment it loosens you up from tension. It loosens your muscles up from tension it loosens you up from the spasmatic and pressure feeling of stress. Alcohol seemingly „dissolves” stress. Alcohol does this by blocking the neurotransmitters, the signals which carry stress to travel further down the nerves. However, this is the effect of alcohol we don't pay much attention to. This is why social drinking today is so widely accepted. Social drinking is called „low-grade alcoholism”. When the cells of your body get used to a constant low level of alcohol to keep you loose, you can’t seem to function without it.

Everything is interrelated in our body and works interdependently as a complex. A loose muscle is the result of the loosened-up mind – loosened-up neural function coming from loosened-up nerve cells. If you had tight and tensed muscles, they were the result of tensed nerve cells.

Once alcohol blocks the transmission signals of stress in the nerves, the nerve cells get loosened up from the workload to carry them further. When the nerve cell is insensitive to signals, it feels like „I am on holiday”. These loosened-up nerve cells cause the muscles to loosen up. I think this is pretty simple to understand.

You may loosen up your nerve function of stress by massaging the muscles. Now you understand how everything is interrelated in the body.

Once the neural function and muscles are loosened up next your thinking and rationalizing will be loosened up. What does this look like?

A loosened-up mind makes looser decisions, as the attention and focus are loosened up too. It is much easier to skip noticing something, disregard a few things, or misunderstand something important about what was said.

As a result of the loosened-up attention, rational thinking, and conscious decisions and actions will be affected too. It will be a lot easier to talk yourself out by calling somebody back, even though you promised.

It will be a lot easier to rationalize away to stay out longer and have more „fun”, even though you know they are counting on you or maybe even worrying about you.

The loosened nerve function also is the cause of the loosened-up communication and the hurtful words which leave your mouth. Alcohol loosens up your tongue too. You may say the thing that you have not thought about their consequences. A loosened-up mind can be dared to do something that you possibly will regret later. Shall this be a wrong call, doing something unethical that you later justify by saying „it was just sex”! But 9 months later a child was born. This child is causing you to live in hatred as the guy disappeared. There is only one person to blame, -- your child. This child reminds you every single day of the little mistake you made which is the cause of your hardship.

Lastly, a loosened-up mind can make you go through the red light and cause an accident. Which may make you be locked up for the rest of your life or make someone or you be chained down to a wheelchair. This will give you a reason for the rest of your life, to think about that one drink and what you did.

I told you that I won't be very favored by saying the truth. And I apologize again.

The influence of alcohol began with that one drink. The one drink, which doesn't need to be taken seriously. The one drink, that can be followed by two and three.

Let me ask you now: Is it only the drunk and passed-out person, who counts for someone with altered consciousness? Or?

LET US SEE THE ROOT CAUSE OF YOUR TENSION. Why are your muscles tense? And what can be done naturally to loosen them up from this stress?

I am sure you can answer these questions right away. And yes, you are right! Your mental-emotional stress is the reason your muscles are tensed! You are tensed from the tension in your environment. You are tensed from work, or spouse, or both.

Let me ask you:

What are the things you repeatedly do but don’t want to do? Since you do it, it causes you to stress?

Is it your work? Or is it your spouse? Did you fall out of love, changed your mind just don’t have the strength to leave?

Do you constantly catch yourself complaining and wanting something else?

Is life equal to suffering for you? And you feel powerless, hopeless, and undeserving to get out of suffering?

What does the sensation of being loosened up give you an escape from?

Now let's see something else:

You are stressed, anxious, and worried. Therefore you run and do body-breaking hard workouts. Your body feels exhausted and a lot calmer due to the effect of endorphins. But the endorphins wear off and your mind starts racing again because the emotional issue has bent been addressed. And you need a drink. It is way too unbearable to feel the pain in your mind than the exhaustion in your body.

What is the drink compensating you with?

What do you hate and can’t stand in your life that the numbness from the alcohol gives an escape?

What is the sensual pleasure you are after what you only feel when under the influence of alcohol? Is craving and wanting something else a normal state of mind in your life?

The feeling of craving is unbearable for the mind and it seeks relief. Even if it is a temporary relief. At least something which allows us to breathe from the constant tension. And once you are in a state of numbness, nothing matters.

The underlying craving always comes with stress and tension in the body, which creates the following physiological changes:

Tension and stress drive magnesium out of the body, as it keeps your muscles tensed up. And the consequence is a cramp or a spasm. The Ca and Mg imbalance (High Ca and low Mg) will keep your muscles and body in tension. The tension not only affects the skeletal muscles but the smooths muscles as well. So the muscles in your arteries, in your visceral organs, and your heart will be tense too. Here comes the high blood pressure and all sorts of cardiac issues. A spasm in your heart muscles is nothing, but a myocardial infarction.

I have this saying: „You should feel really lucky that the cramp is in your leg and not in your heart!”

Let us see the cause of tension a little further.

You are likely dehydrated. Since our body is 80% water, it is very sensitive to the loss of water. The body functions normally in a well-hydrated state. Dehydration is the number cause of fatigue, poor concentration, and almost all health issues.

Did you know that more than 90% of people are dehydrated? And did you also know that dehydration is another stress for the body, that causes tension? A dehydrated muscle gets easily injured. It is very easy to pull a dehydrated muscle or have partial tears in them.

We know intellectually that we must drink something in the heat as we are also thirsty. But what is it that we drink?

Since are not children anymore who have an ice cream soda or lemonade, we grab an ice-cold beer or wine spritzer.

Furthermore. Alcohol is a toxin for the body. Once alcohol is in your body, chemical processes begin in the stomach and then in the liver to break down alcohol. The second phase of detoxification is to get rid of the remains of alcohol via the kidney, in the urine.

So we need more water to wash alcohol out of the body. But your body is dehydrated already. Never mind, the body for protecting itself from the damage will take out water from the cells to wash alcohol out in the urine. The body water level is even lower now and causes even more disturbance to our functions.

Now you may become smart and start drinking water. But you realize that you need to go to the bathroom and pee it all out. So what is the use of drinking water now? – you might ask. So you go back to drink more beer.

Let us understand:

A dehydrated, overheated, and stressed body is low on magnesium and a few more other minerals, which would keep a healthy osmotic pressure in the blood. The function of these minerals to keep water in our bodies. If the minerals are out of balance the body will eliminate water so it can establish healthy osmotic pressure. This is the reason you produce urine immediately after you drank it. What do you do? Take a pinch of pink Himalayan salt and drink water with it.

Did you also know that a chronically dehydrated body loses thirst sensation? So why would you drink water when you are not even thirsty.

Knowing all these, is it worth drinking that one drink?

Wouldn’t it make sense to look into yourself and learn to manage your physical and mental emotions?

Wouldn’t it make sense to live with high awareness to use this life – this huge gift-- to bring the best out of ourselves? Shouldn’t we use this enormous value of our life to create value for others?

What is the first and foremost important thing you can do?

Clean your mind. A cleaner mind is lighter and will automatically rise in awareness. You need higher awareness to realize the potential hidden in you. To realize your calling in life. To arrive at living your life in high meaning.

Let's have tea or an ice-cold lemonade online in a video call together. and let me show you how you can start managing your emotions instantly. drzsu@drzsu.com
